  • General
    Children aged 2 and under go FREE. Children aged 3-5 cost just £3.95 + booking fee Children aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times on site. Some optional attractions at the event may attract queues and will be chargeable. Dogs (other than assistance dogs) are not permitted. Senior Citizen age for ticket purposes: 60+ If you have a hidden disability, proof of disability may be required, This can be any Goverment disability benefit letter, a letter from your health professional or a scheme, such as access card. This event may NOT be for you if you are expecting to meet Robert Downey Jnr, Chris Pratt or see the real Thor drop in from a thunderous sky, as much as we'd love it too. However, if you're looking for a fun day out and want to soak up the atmosphere of a comic-con fest environment and want to see very cool props, vehicles, life-sized busts, fantastic cosplayers, merch stalls and lots more, then this IS the event for you! Comic-Cons are popular events and queues for some attractions and guests are to be expected just as you would expect queues at any popular theme park rides or attractions during the summer period. Our event has been created by a team with over 20 years of Comic-Con staging experience, entertaining tens of thousands of happy sci-fi and superhero fans. Guests appear subject to filming commitments and charge for autographs. This event is not endorsed or affiliated to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the DC Comic Books Company or any of their relative parent and/or subsidiarys companies.
  • Tickets
    Admission will only be granted by those holding a valid ticket. All tickets will be electronically scanned. Admission from 11am for all ticket holders other than early entrance 10am ticket holders. Refunds are not given if you are unable to attend this event for any reason. In the event of cancellation or postponement of MDC beyond our control, booking fees are non-refundable. This is an outoor event that will take place even in wet conditions. Please dress appropriately according to the weather forecast in the run up to the event. Refunds will not be granted if you choose not to attend due to expected poor weather conditions. MDC+ is an outdoor event.
  • Disabled ticket holders
    Concessionary tickets are available for customers with disabilities. If you have a hidden disability, proof of disability may be required, This can be any Goverment disability benefit letter, a letter from your health professional or a scheme, such as an access card. Once inside the venue (which takes place in the grounds of a country park) the event takes place on grass and may be uneven in places, but will generally be wheelchair friendly at the date of the event. There will be disabled toilets on site. Do contact one of our many stewards should you need any assistance.
  • Getting here
    If you are coming from the direction of London, Canterbury, or Dover: Follow the signs from the A299 Thanet Way to Minster roundabout, turning left or right as appropriate. At the Acol roundabout follow signs for 'Comic-Con' Parking. Postcode for sat-nav is CT7 0HR but you MUST follow the yellow directional signs to parking otherwise it will take a longer journey to reach the venue. Arriving by train? Plan your journey by visiting South Eatern Railway's website. Birchington train station is just over one mile away (20 minute walk).
  • Parking
    Early entrance ticket holders should arrive from 9am. Standard ticket holders should not arrive until 10am as parking gates for these ticket holders will not be open until this time and there is no waiting in the surrounding area. Vehicles are parked at the owner's risk. All-day parking is FREE, but please select the option in the drop-down menu when booking to ensure capacity is regulated by our traffic and parking management contractors.
  • Security, alcohol and personal belongings"
    A strict zero-tolerance policy applies in terms of any anti-social behaviour and you will be asked to leave by our security team should any any-social behaviour be witnessed. Please do not bring alcohol to site. Bag checks will be carried out by our security team on arrival. Licensed bar available on site with a Challenge 25 Policy in place. Please keep items of value with you at all times. Bags should not be left unattended at any time.
  • Weather
    The event will proceed even in wet weather, and refunds will not be given should you decide not to attend due to weather conditions. Please dress appropriately for the likely weather on the day. Visit http://www.metoffice.gov.uk for an accurate assessment of likely weather around 48hrs prior to the EVENT. We suggest bringing sun cream with a high SPF even in cloudy conditions as shade is limited. Hats will also offer a good degree of protection throughout the event.
  • Re-entry and ATMs
    Providing your hand has been stamped by our staff you may leave and re-enter the venue. the nearest ATM/Cash Machine is located over one mile away from the venue. Please ensure you have sufficient funds for the event to avoid any unnecessary trips as many vendors, both food/drinks/attractions may not have debit or credit card facilities.
  • Dogs
    Sorry no dogs are allowed on site other than assistance dogs.
  • Event Amendments
    Please note it is your responsibility as a ticket holder to check this event website leading up to the event for any amendments, line-up alterations and other unavoidable changes that may affect the event.

    MDC+ Con-Con, QUEX PARK, BIRCHINGTON “Event” means the event to be held at Quex Park, Birchington “Management” means MDC+ Team, its representatives, and employees. “Terms and Conditions” means these terms and conditions. “Ticket” means any ticket for you to attend an event. “You” means you as the holder of the ticket and “your” should be read accordingly. "Performer" means any individual professional performer contracted to perform as part of this event. All tickets are sold subject to these terms and conditions. Please read these terms and conditions carefully prior to purchase and raise any queries with the management prior to purchase. Purchase of any ticket constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. Upon purchase, please check tickets carefully as mistakes cannot be rectified after purchase. Tickets are not issued on a sale or return basis and refunds will not be made on returned tickets unless provided for under these terms and conditions. The price of a ticket shall be the price set at the time the management accepts your order. All prices set are inclusive of any applicable taxes but exclusive of any booking fee and collection fee. No tickets will be released until the management has received full payment. The management will not be responsible for any ticket that is lost, stolen, or destroyed. If duplicates are issued, a reasonable administration fee may be charged. Tickets are sold subject to the promoter’s and the management’s right to alter or vary the published event programme where reasonably necessary. Removing any part of, altering or defacing the ticket may invalidate a ticket holders ticket. All ticket discounts are subject to limited availability, and the discretion of the management and/or the promoter. Only one discount per ticket may apply, Proof of identity and concession entitlement may be requested. It is the responsibility of the ticket holder to ascertain whether an event has been cancelled or rescheduled and the date and time of any re-scheduled event. Where an event is cancelled or re-scheduled, the management will use its reasonable endeavours to notify you using the details you provided at the time of booking, however you must check the event website and/or facebook page in the lead up to the event to ensure that the event is proceeding as advertised. It is your responsibility to inform the point of sale from where you bought the ticket of any change to the contact address, telephone number or email address you provided at the time of booking. Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded unless the performance is cancelled, rescheduled or where there is a material change to the event. A ‘material’ change is a change which, in the management’s reasonable opinion, makes the event materially different to the event that any purchaser of a ticket could reasonably expect. The use of understudies, and/or unavoidable withdrawal of a performer as part of Monsterslam shall not be a material change where an event includes multiple bands and/or artists. The event will proceed even in wet weather conditions and refunds are not given should you decide to: A) not attend the event or: B) leave the event early. The management shall not be liable for any loss of enjoyment or wasted expenditure beyond the ticket price and relevant booking fee (excluding any transaction fees). In order to claim your refund where an event is cancelled, please email info@mdc.events in respect of tickets purchased online. If the event is postponed you will have the option to carry tickets over to the new date. The refund for tickets equals the face value of tickets purchased less the relevant per ticket booking fee which will be deducted. Where there is a material change to the programme of the event, you must bring this to our attention as soon as possible upon becoming aware of such change in good time before the event. Refunds will only be made to the person who purchased the tickets. Tickets obtained in breach of these terms and conditions shall be null and void and the management may refuse admission to or eject you from the venue. Any person seeking to use a void ticket in order to gain or provide entry to an event will be considered a trespasser and will be ejected and liable to legal action. Void Tickets are non-refundable. The management reserves the right to refuse you entry to and/or eject you from the event and / or venue in reasonable circumstances including without limitation for health and safety or licensing reasons; if you behave in a manner which has or is likely to affect the enjoyment of other persons at the event; If you use threatening, abusive or insulting words or mannerisms; if in the managements reasonable opinion, you are acting under the influence of alcohol or drugs; if you fail, when required to produce proof of identity or age; if you refuse to comply with the managements security searches; if you breach these terms; or if your ticket is void. If before or during the event you have a complaint in relation to the event (including without limitation in relation to your ability to view the event), please contact us or a steward promptly since complaints are very difficult to deal with after the event. By attending an event, you give your express consent to your actual or simulated likeness to be included within any film, photograph, audio and/or audio/visual recording to be exploited in any and all media for any purpose at any time throughout the world. The management reserves the right to conduct security searches and confiscate any item which in the opinion of the management may cause danger or disruption to other persons at the event or is one of the items not permitted in the venue as listed in these terms and conditions. You should not bring any of the following items into the venue: laser pens, animals (except guide dogs), glass containers, any sharp or pointed objects (such as knives), illegal substances. You must comply with any and all instructions given to you by the management and/or venue stewards and staff and with all Quex Park regulations. The management reserves the right to restrict access to parts of the venue. If you have any special requirements or concerns about any special effects (for example lighting or sound effects) which may be featured at the event, prior notice should be provided when ordering the tickets. You shall not bring into the venue or display or distribute (whether for free or not) at the event any sponsorship, promotional or marketing materials. Please ensure that you do not leave any bags or other items of personal property unattended in the venue. Any personal possessions or other items (including without limitation clothing, wallets and mobile phones), which are found in the venue, shall be retained by the venue for a period of 30 days following their discovery. Parents and/or supervisors are responsible for supervising children in their care at all times and supervision of children shall be by not less than 1 adult per 2 children. By accepting these terms and conditions you hereby accept that participation in using the play equipment at this event exposes you and any child in your care to a possibility of personal injury, and hereby release ABC Inflatables, the event organisers, their officers, employees, directors and affiliates from any and all property damage, personal injury or other claims arising from your or any child in your care particpating in the use of equipment supplied by ABC or the event organisers, including claims that are known and unknown, forseen and unforseen, future or contingent. By accepting these terms and conditions you fully understand that this agreement is binding on you, your spouse, your children, legal representatives, heirs, successors, and assigns. Personal information provided by you to the management will be used for all purposes reasonably connected with the operations of the venue included(but not limited to): providing you with details of forthcoming events, 0ffers and services, providing you with updates as to the latest concessions or any changes thereto and information concerning competitions and other promotional activity, supplying you with the goods that you request, conducting market research and establishing customer profiles. By purchasing a ticket or tickets, you consent to the use of your personal information in this way. If you have any queries, please email info@mdc.events. Unless you inform the management otherwise, by purchasing a ticket or tickets you authorise the management to use personal details obtained in the course of the transaction to: provide details of forthcoming events, offers and services, provide updates as to the latest concessions or any changes thereto, and provide information concerning competitions and other promotional activity. You agree that the management will not be liable for any loss, injury or damage to any person (including yourself) or property however caused (including by the management or any of its employees) (a) in any circumstances where there is no breach of a legal duty of care owed by the management or any of its employees. (b) in circumstances where such loss or damage is not a reasonably foreseeable result of any such breach (save for death or personal injury as a result of a breach of a legal duty of care owned by the management, its servants or agents), or (c) to the extent that any increase in any loss or damage results from a breach by you or any of these terms and conditions. Ticket holders must comply with all relevant statutes, safety announcements and regulations whilst attending the event.
